CHAPTER 12

File #74262, continued

I have had concerns about operatives speaking out of school in the present, but I’d disregarded the possibility of them having told others years ago, when the situation was occurring. I can only hope that if someone does know the truth, there is a reason why they have kept their mouths shut and they will continue to do so.

I woke up with Ben spooned against me, his strong arms wrapped around my body and a hard-on pressed against my ass. I pushed backward, and Ben groaned.

“You’re a prick tease, aren’t you?” he whispered in my ear.

“No, I am more than willing to follow through. It’s you who doesn’t want to fuck my ass.”

He bit my neck and made me laugh. “I want to fuck you so bad I can taste it.” His tongue slipped into my ear for a second. “But when I slip my hard cock into your tight ass…” He pushed me to my stomach and lay on top of me. “…everything, and I mean everything, will be perfect. If we had the proper supplies I would’ve already done it.” He dry humped me slowly and it drove me insane.

I flipped over and we kissed softly for a few minutes as I ran my hands up and down his back. I groaned when Ben rolled away from me. “Why are you leaving?”

“Two reasons.” His eyes twinkled. “One—the longer we sit here like this.” He motioned to the tip of his erection. “The more likely it is one of us won’t be able to stop. And, two—the quicker we take care of business here, the faster we get home.”

“I have condoms at home.” Protection meant I’d finally be able to have Ben inside of me. “Let’s get the fuck out of here.” I jumped out of bed and grabbed my clothes.

“Anything else you need to do while we’re here?” Ben got dressed.

“I don’t think so. Reading Gwendolyn’s notes was the only thing I had in mind.”

“Did you want to talk to Dad about your memories and how they may connect to Oasis?” He glanced in a mirror and tried to straighten his hair with his hands.

“I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” I zipped up my pants and pulled a T-shirt over my head.

“Why not?”

I shrugged, not sure why I felt that way. Maybe it was Sheriff Skinner’s weird questions the other night or perhaps I was overreacting.

“Talking to him couldn’t hurt and it might help. You never know.” Ben sat on the bed and tied his shoes.

“You plan on talking to your brother while we’re here?”

“Jarrett? Sure, we can visit the station and see him.”

I crossed my arms and stared him down. “You know I’m talking about Justin.”

“Do you think I need to?” He went into the kitchen, and I followed. I shuffled up behind him, wrapped my arms around his stomach and rested my head on his back.

“You don’t have to tell Justin you’re gay right now. But you do need to tell him you don’t care if he is.
